Wristbands & donation

As you no doubt know, James and I sold 100 Cara wristbands. the profits were donated to Refuge, a charity that assists women who have been the victims of abuse. We thought that Cara would approve of this!... a lot !!
Here is a copy of the letter sent out by refuge in response to the donation. And a letter I sent to Tabrett Bethell this morning telling her all about it.

Dear Legend of the Seeker Fans

Thank you for your kind donation of £130.00, paid with your MasterCard card, towards the work of Refuge. Your gift will help Refuge to continue its provision of vital services including safe, emergency accommodation, individual and group counselling, and community based outreach services. Staggeringly, one woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime so it is likely we all know someone who has been or will be affected. Every day Refuge helps more than 1,000 women and children who desperately need support to escape domestic violence. Your donation will help woman and children to build new, safe lives – free from the fear of violence. If you know of a friend who would be interested in supporting our work, we would be grateful if you could please pass on our details. Thank you once again for your investment in the future of Refuge and for your commitment to a world where domestic violence is not tolerated or ignored. With warmest wishes
